Some of you might remember that Suzy and I auditioned for a got seats in the pit band for the Second Story Rep‘s presentation of ‘Anything Goes‘. Suzy played book three with clarinet and tenor sax parts. I played part of book two and book four with soprano, tenor, and bari sax parts.

Very cool. Thanks for the link to You Tube. My daughter Mara just finished playing in a pit for "Guys and Dolls" and this weekend plays in the pit for "Brigadoon." Her classically trained, Chicago Symphony violinist, teacher puts down the notion of pit playing, but Mara absolutely loves it. It seems like there’s a great sense of comraderie/rapport between the singers and the pit musicians.
