Great find: PlayalongStudio.com

Picture of the BlueLuna combo

A friend of my Al Stevens has collected backing tracks of jazz standards in their original keys. At PlayalongStudio.com instead of using the dreaded midi player stuff, Al uses real piano, drums, and bass. These backing tracks can be use by vocalists and instrumentalists. It’s like having a combo right in your house. And they will never snicker when you make the numerous mistakes until you get the piece down.  ;o)

There is a more complete description and discussion on the Sax On The Web Forum. Enjoy. :o)

I’m working on "Stormy Weather" on the piano this week.  I’m sure even the backing track would snicker at me the way it sounds right now.

Well, we will be fossils one day — thing is, one day this planet may be right back where it started — a big arse fiery ball of lava boiling — probably long from now -millions of years…..unless a big arse meteor hits us – then, well, … *laughing* – ah well, human has had a good run, haven’t we? Look at all the stuff we’ve created – we’re busy little ant-bees…
