Meet Macy, our new Bengal

MacyMacy joined the household today and she is getting to know the gang. I thought I’d provide a picture of the newest addition. I have to admit there have been some hissing fits, huge, fuzzy tails, and on a number of occasions a barking dog. But methinks that is to be expected when a new furry family member joins our house.

Macy is a four month old Bengal kitten from the Cheetahsden Bengals Northwest cattery in Sammamish. We feel very flattered and proud that Kelli allowed us to adopt Macy who was going to be a show cat. She has stellar markings and colorings, but she is different from Thelonius (Theo) in size and markings.

Below you can see an older picture of Theo when he was about Macy’s age. We think that Macy is coming along well enough that we might let her run with the big guys tomorrow.

We haven’t told many people about Macy yet, so mums the word, okay.  :o)PairOcats

Macy and Theo are gorgeous indeed!  I had to show my husband because he loves the beautiful markings on Bengals.  Other than that…mum is the word.

Gorgeous!!  Macy already looks like she knows that she’s gonna run the household soon enough. 😉

Macy is adorable!  I confess to having never heard of this breed, and to think I could get one as close as Samamish is also interesting.  Thanks for stopping by and hope you enjoy "August Rush".  I actually took my sister to see it last night and enjoyed it more the second time.
    Blessed be

Some people think the Bengal breed is not a good one for selecting pets from. We were cautious and found a stellar caterey with a very sensative and smart trainer. Her cats are inquisitive and people loving. They are a joy to be around. If you find a place with 20 or more cats, that means they are not moving them very fast and there could be a reason for that. We are on day two and all the animals are starting to get used to easy other.

I am thrilled for you!  Thrilled!  I LOVE Bengals.  I love cats but Bengals are so beautiful..so regal.  Just wonderful.  I SO wish I could pet Macy.  I haven’t been this thrilled about someone else’s acquisition ever!!

Hi!  Former Iowan!  :)  Thanks for stopping by my place.  Always nice to see a new face around the neighborhood.  That Macy is a gorgeous kitty.  I don’t think I’ve ever heard of that breed, but I’ll be watching for them now.  BTW, if you miss your old Iowa winters, I’ll be happy to send you some of it!  Especially the ice that’s building up in my backyard!  :)

I’m off to do some catching up with my other bloggin’ friends, but I’ll be back.  I’d like to add you to my friends list so I can check back easily from time to time.  Do you mind?  Watch for my request.

Have a great rest of the weekend!  We’re scraping freezing drizzle (‘frizzle) off the windshield again tonight!  GRRRR!

Awww she is so cute. We don’t have any pets. Both our boys are allergic to dogs AND cats so we can’t have any in the house. And our yard is tiny. Maybe when we settle down and buy a house.. of course they will be moving out by then. lol

Wow she is beautiful! I’ve never owned a cat but this makes me want to go and buy one. Guessing spoiled Mr.Poco would not be too thrilled if I did though :-(

Very nice addition to the family, congrats!!! Hmmm, guess Iwas brave or daring with the work complaint post….but then again, its my smewhat private place, the work folks haven’t found this spot yet, so I can do a little venting there! Have a great week, Bridget

Laoch, I figured you, the professor would be the one to challenge me. Taking pictures of kittens and cats is really a challenge. Well, there are some more on my next post. I spend twenty minutes chasing them around and I think at the end they were more annoyed with me that I was of them.  ;o)
