Well, they strike a chord with me that is. Quirky, poignant, and fast, the new set of Microsoft ads make me happier to be a part of this company yet again. I thrive as we play with new and interesting technologies. But I live to hear the stories of how we help bring education and passion to third-world countries, computers to the blind, and participate in various other charitable activities.
It was painful to watch the Apple ads. Although very well done, the ads seem to characterize people who don’t use Apple computers as stodgy, error prone, and problematic. In the eyes of those who created the ads, couldn’t the world see how clunky, old-school, and unpopular the PCs are? Why did Apple feel it necessary to attack me, a PC user? I think Apple computers are cool too, I just happen to choose the best machine for the job that I do.
Oh by the way, it is important to me that PCs are much cheaper too. At one time in the recent past I could buy 2.2 computers for the price of one Apple computer. If I buy cheaper but affective computers, I can buy more saxophones don’t cha know. ;o)
Have you seen the new "I’m a PC" videos?
"I’m a PC and I sell fish." :o)

The cheaper the PC the better I like it. 😉
PC stands for ‘Personal Computer’…..PERSONAL! I thought it was funny that Mac wouldn’t want to be known as being "personal" LOL! My last computer magazine said that All computers are PC’s–How revolutionary!I am pretty tired of the mac users I encounter looking down their nose at me, go online & you will see alot of new users very disenchanted because it can be very difficult to use one. Whew! I guess I had alot to say about that!I just posted a couple days ago the Jerry/Bill ad :)
I have a (dell) PC with windows Vista….. and like you, cost was an issue – that and I’ve always had a Dell PC…and it works for me! I’m happy! *grin*
I haven’t seen that ad – all I’ve seen lately are the "I’m a Mac/I’m a PC" ads you are probably talking about…and a new Vista ad that’s out where people are using the program and then are told it’s Vista–except I haven’t seen the entire commercial yet; I always catch the end!
I’m with Beth Marie there..the first commenter. Most of the time. I love MAC’s and the household has always had them and sometimes one of each, a PC and a MAC. Which ever gets the job done.
I used to own a franchise business that was based on MACs and I did get to love them, and during that time I joined the local MAC user society who were wonderful in their support. But since I sold that business and started working again for other companies, I have been using PCs again. I still have my iMac which I adore but I also have my PC based notebook. I can switch between the two with no difficulty whatsover. It takes zero brainpower..it’s all absolutely intuitive which is as it should be. As for which is the "best", well that depends on what I want to do. As far as I’m concerned there is room for both operating systems in my life, but yeah, like you I also get a little annoyed about those ads. Live and let live is my motto.
