It’s Microsoft’s annual Give Campaign and is my custom for the last four years, I have donated a late-bloomer sax lesson. Not only do I get to meet people returning to music, the giving program gets a donation. Here’s my entry as of today.
The Giving Campaign Auction is just one of the many programs and activities to raise money for the United Way. You can win items donated by fellow employees, and donate something yourself. All funds are matched by Microsoft. The Auction tool is built this year by a group of volunteers from MSIT and they are using Windows Azure with a brand new Silverlight UI. It is so much easier to use than last year’s auction tool.

sounds like a fun way to share … and great fun if you really want to have a go at an instument but have lacked the confidence. I’d be in the list of late bloomers too, can’t remember how to read music either, so I’d be needing a lot more than just the one session ;))hugsdebsxXx
It’s all about the journey and it does take a long time to get to where most of aspiring musicians want to be. If one is not *really* passionate about performance music, I always suggest other activities. This one needs lots of time, dedication, patience, and brains.
