This picture tickles me and speaks to me on a number of levels. My friend Ben sez of this pic, “It’s Botero meets Escher meets Hieronymus Bosch meets Hank Selmer.”
I have been looking for this artist on the Internet. There is a signature on this picture, but I can’t really read it. I’ve searched on my guesses with no luck. Ping me if you know who the artist is.

The picture, if you haven’t already found out, is Soñando ciudadeS (Dreaming Cities) by Vladimir Golub. Here is more information copied from the Internet: Vladimir Golub was born in 1953 in the small city of Slutsk, Belorus. He entered the easel painting department of Belorusain Academy of Arts.
In 1977 graduated acquiring the best professional artistic education available in the country.
At the very start of this career, Golub, like many of this contemporaries, experienced the expansion of the official soviet art on the one hand, and the emasculation of late Avant- grade on the other. It made him search for this personal style.
Currently, his style represents a combination of Realism and Fantasy. Inspired by the images of West Slavic mythology, the painter created his own Symbolic-allegorical landscape inhabited by the spirits of Nature . There are more pictures by Golub here including a few with music-related themes: http://ggalleryslo.blogspot.com/2012/04/vladimir-golub.html
