Theo, the new kitten, arrives…

The first night, Theo slept on my head… no literally. I’ve never had a cat do this—I move around too much at night. The second night, Theo claimed the alpha position on the bed next to Suzy’s pillow. Theo is an equal opportunity companion.  :o)

Shelby, the 10-year old German Sheppard, tries to herd Theo. But Theo is so fast that she usually ends up whimpering. Theo is a very brave cat, allowing Shelby to sniff at him. Max, a 17-year old flame-point Siamese, hissed for the first day or so but now is much better. Both slept on the bed the second night after Max had boycotted the first night.

Unlike Max, Theo likes salmon, something I have regularly. He talks and eats rather loudly with such a zest for life. My grandson spent an hour with the cat yesterday too. Everyone that sees Theo remarks on the unique coloring and beauty of this cat.

Thanks for everything Kelli. You have improved the quality of our lives immeasurably. There is much love and laughter in the Glass house with the help of this little bundle of joy.

The kitten is gorgous.  I forgot how happy a house is that has a kitten.  Such a social, happy talker he is.  His coloring is unlike anything I have ever seen.  What a true jewel of a cat.

We’ve never paid for an animal before. And this is the oldest pet (at twelve weeks) that we have ever gotten. But Theo has been trained to love people which is so wonderful. He is the alpha of the litter, so there is a fair bit of toe biting in our bed. But if it gets to be too much we move him to the bathroom where his nursery is set up.
