Someone on the SOTW forum turned me on to James Carter’s ‘Chasing the Gypsy‘. I’ve been listening to it all week and just loving the old school bass sax stylings of this CD. I’ve been playing against the CD, especially the piece called "I’ll Never Be the Same’ on my Buescher bass sax with a pickle barrel Slick Anderson mouthpiece that I really into this week. ;o)
So when I ran across Kelly Bucheger’s blog piece about there always being someone better than you, I knew I had to share it. It is titled, "How James Carter Ruined my Live."

Wow, that’s really great. I’ll have to check it out. For some reason, I’ve been into instrumental music of late — mostly classical or classic opera. I think it’s time for a changeup. :) Little bit of jazz, or jazzy blues.

Comment RE: (From my space) You know, I should have looked carefully at the 3-D pop-up viewer before I submitted my image. I should have realized that it would scale to viewer rather than add borders around the image to fit.
I’ve cropped the photo for a more horizontal orientation (really difficult since it’s essentially a vertical shot) and tried to re-enter it into the contest. Hopefully it will work better, so we’ll have to wait and see… I’ve also entered in a few more images that could possibly come close to "wow" but I have some pretty big competition! :)
