Painted Cats du Jour

Anyone know where these pictures I received in e-mail came from? Apparently it can cost up to $60,000 a year to keep these cats painted!

Still they are rather striking aren’t they.  You can see a bigger collection of photos on my wife’s site.  :o)

Hi–these photos come from a book: Why Paint Cats: The Ethics of Feline Aesthetics by Burton Silver. Too, too many people think this is ‘real’, but all the cats are PhotoShopped. (Hopefully, no one ‘tries this at home’ on their feline friends!) The book is extremely clever! Cats look like some of the ‘owners’. The first book in the two-book series was Why Cats Paint.
