Today I’m blogging about a nice clarinet reference site called Clarinet Perfection. My good friend and a moderator on the Woodwind Forum runs this site. It has a lot reference information on clarinets that can’t be found anywhere else on the Internet.
If you are interested in clarinet makes, dates, and accoutrements you might want to take a peek at this resource.

Brings to mind a question. Is the clarinet a good choice for a child as opposed to trombone? Or any wind instrument. Does one need an exceptional capacity for wind, as in the blowing thru the instrument variety?
Not really. But the music program heads should have the students try and see the different mouthpieces and see all the horns. Then when the child makes a selection, it’s based on knowing what the options are. It would be nice if the child was really passionate about a particular instrument, but most are not by fifth grade when selections are made.
some details in the pictures. thank you for your sharing.
Seems like a great avenue for you and others.
I am glad you found your way there..
Thanks for sharing

GMR played sax in high school and we have his old sax hanging on a wall – and we have an old clarinet we found at a collectible/antique shop – I’d love to know whose it was, what they played, why they quit – guess I’ll have to make up my own stories.
Hi Jim, Just popping over regarding my saturday rant. LOL I replied in my comment box but I thought I would pop over. Glad I did, I will create a short cut to the clarinet website
Problems with profile pics, That suprizes me. I have made lots of live spaces and so have my kids. I have never experienced any problems with uploading profile pics on any of my spaces. To know some people may have problems is intresting. Although I think the vast majority just needs to try. Going through the process even "twice" only takes a little time… Spence.
Hope you are all ok, thanks for keeping in touch. See you soon…. Spence.
