A friend of mine has this Frankenstein guitar that uses two pickups. One is for two strings and plays bass and the other four strings provide guitar. He then arranges songs so that he can play both parts with the one instrument.
So I was very interested when my son showed me this YouTubeage of Charlie Hunter and his truly unique guitar bass hybrid.

I like it!!
as a guitarist, THIS I have to see.
It’s pretty amazing stuff when you realize this hybrid guitar plays the parts of two people! That means there are two pick ups, two amps, and fast fingers!
Wow…he is good…but I guess someone playing a guitar like that without being good would look kind of foolish.
My father is a bass-guitar player and was in a blues band when i was little. I like this style. I admire what the guy is trying to do!
love, daphne
Fast fingers is right! Just how does anyone learn how to play the thing??? Learning plain ol’ guitar is hard enough for some folks. (Read: me) LOL
Just popped over from Carole’s space because of the comment you left on her space. Said you were in Provo? Provo, Utah? That is where I live… so a belated wave hello. Then I look and see you are from Seattle… my daughter who lives in Provo was out visiting Seattle this last weekend. Now she understands why they say we live in a desert.. we do.. especially compared to other places in the country. She says she would easily move out to Seattle… Oh my.. Well take care…
Must have one of these.
