This video by Matthew Harding just makes me smile. I’ve seen it a couple of times now and it is so joyful and thus so powerful. Some call it contrived; I call it inspired. So many happy people contributing to a project. It’s an international event, crossing borders, and bringing people together.
From the shot at the North Korean border to the deepest parts of Africa, there is always someone willing to dance with this team. Maybe my bucket list might include going to all these venues.
A friend of mine takes a garden gnome and takes pictures of the places he visits like Australia and New Zealand. Maybe I’d take a sax and play with bands of all kinds. Now that sounds interesting. I probably wouldn’t schlep the bass sax around the globe though. ;o)
Enjoy the music; be the music.

I have watched this guy many times and have seen interviews. He is very inspirational. He travels so extensively. It is just awe inspiring.
A great video. Thank you for the link.
I love what you said…BE the music. You go, my man.
What a happy, cheerful piece. I wish I had your talent for moving things to the blog site. Thanks.
Have you ever listened to the Jazz trio EST? Pretty good stuff in the Keith Jarret vein. You can check them out free here.
Happiness mixed with joyful madness encompass rich well-rounded life what a display of frivolous fun. I love this post darling it is truly inspiring especially his dance with the ladies of India those perfect chorography moves brought bursts of laughter forth thank you darling for gifting us with something so wonderful I was peacefully sitting sipping a cup of dark espresso laced with cinnamon nibbling on a few decadent blackberry brandy cordials when I almost choked on my espresso breaking into laughter over this video sheer fun. You always seem to gift us with so many interesting things great post darling, thank you. Kisses Catherine
Thanks Gandalfe….I really needed some cheering up tonight and when I read this entry, I recalled that I had in fact heard somewhere about this guy in the last week, so I checked him out on YouTube. It made me smile and I needed that. I don’t care if it’s contrived and I think it’s quite genuine anyway…how could anyone have such a great smile and not be genuine.
You mentioned your friend with the garden gnome. There was a wonderful French film called ‘Amelie’ a few years back, where Amelie ‘steals’ the garden gnome out her father’s garden and gets a friend who is a flight attendant to take the gnome around the world and post back photos of the gnome in various famous world locations back to Amelie’s father. Eventually the gnome ‘comes’ home and the father decides to go on a long trip overseas.
I think a world tour with your sax would be just wonderful…don’t let that idea fade away.
