Casa du Glassa is jumping. We have our son’s family here, Helen from Vancouver, Suzy working, and a big gig tomorrow. This will be the busiest Labor Day weekend in recent memory. So here’s a whirlwind recap and we’re only halfway through!
Helen and I visit QuinnTheEskimo aka Matt and look at some toys:
For those wondering what they are looking at, they are museum-quality vintage instruments. From left to right: an alto sarrusophone, a rothophone, and a Conn-O-Sax. Yes, the $100,000 one. I’m waiting for Matt to open up a museum.
Then we hit the Seattle aquarium:
Okay, now a quiz. Name these venues in downtown Seattle:
The aquarium, weren’t you paying attention. ;o) Seattle cityscape.
Singing troubadour Thaddeus Spae, da fisherguy, and an immaculately maintained carousel. Here’s hoping y’all are enjoying the last holiday of Summer 2008.

Seattle looks nice. Must go someday!
Lots of jazz clubs, coffee shops, museums like the EMP and SAM,
I thought it only rained in Seattle! Great pictures! :)
If I don’t get called into work (I’m on a mandatory ‘on call’ status Monday… GRR) we’ll be having a BBQ with some friends. And I’m considering letting a certain someone off for time served… cause I just splurged on a pair of kick ass black heels. 😉
Love the photos! :-)
Hello Gandalfe,
Great pictures and an even better picture of the family clan gathered at your parent’s 50th. I have to think that you probably have many fine photo albums from the variety of pictures you take.
The pork roast with the caramelized vegetables were delicious but must admit that the orange ruffie with broccoli and cheese does sound good as well.
While yesterday was rainy and overcast, the weather for the week ahead will be sunny and in the low 80’s – probably our best week of the summer. Do enjoy and take care of yourself. Bittersweet
Hi and hope you had a great weekend.
It sounds like you definitely need a new drummer!
One who’s committed?
All the best.
Graham
ps we have cat food tins too. hundreds of them. and a fat cat.
