Clarinet Oddities

I got this Orsi sax-shaped clarinet bell mostly to tease my clarinet friends. They have the last laugh though, as I have not made as much progress learning the instrument as I had hoped.

    You should have gotten the curved metal barrel to go with it. It wouldn’t help, you understand, but the package would have been more complete.
    Phil Woods calls the clarinet “The Tormentor” for a good reason. Unless you start out overblowing 12ths the break will break the octavists for many months to come. When forced to play clarinet I play it exclusively. It is a VERY JEALOUS instrument.
